Welcome to Prairie Y-Club! 

Before & After-School Care at Prairie Elementary

In partnership with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, we are proud to offer a safe, fun, and enriching before and after-school program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Our Y Club program blends play, learning, and community building. With activities such as arts and crafts, group games, and fitness challenges, your child will gain new skills, make friends, and have fun in an inclusive, supportive environment built on the YMCA’s core values of respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty.

During Y Club, children enjoy:

  • Healthy Snacks & Physical Activity – A nutritious snack and 30 minutes of active play each day.

  • Small & Large Group Activities – Hands-on projects in arts and humanities, STEM, nutrition education, and service learning.

  • Community Building – Team activities that strengthen friendships and develop conflict resolution skills.

  • Youth Voice & Leadership – Opportunities to help shape daily activities and take on meaningful roles within the program.

Enrollment Update
We are currently full for the 2025–2026 school year. Please contact our Site Supervisor to join the waitlist.
Registration for the 2026–2027 school year will open in early May 2026.

No School? We’ve Got You Covered.
The YMCA offers care on most days when school is closed, including seasonal breaks, conference days, in-service days, and some inclement weather closures. Even if your child is not enrolled in Y Club, they can join us for these days.
