Lego League Robotics

The Lego League at Prairie Elementary inspires the science and technology leaders of tomorrow. Students learn programming and problem-solving skills to solve current world challenges in a team environment.

Lego League meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and runs from August 22nd through December 19th. The first meeting will take place in the library, and all following sessions will be held in the multi-purpose room.

The non-competitive level is open to 1st-3rd graders. Students in 4th-8th grade compete in Kansas City area tournaments in late November or early December. The participation fee covers materials and the cost of the competition. Parent involvement is very important.

The Lego League parent sponsors are Amy Moore, Matt Henley and Tim Argie. To learn more, visit First Lego League.
